The Faculty of Business, Economics and Law, The University of Queensland (UQ)

As of 2019, The University of Queensland ranks in the top 50 as measured by the Performance Ranking of Scientific Papers for World Universities. The University also ranks 47 in the QS World University Rankings, 42 in the US News Best Global Universities Rankings, 66 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings and 54 in the Academic Ranking of World Universities.

The Faculty of Business, Economics and Law (BEL) incorporates the UQ Business School, the School of Economics and the TC Beirne School of Law; all recognised as global leaders receiving 16 national teaching awards in the last 10 years. For example, UQ Business School MBA program is ranked #54 in the world and #2 in Asia Pacific by The Economist (2019). UQ Economics and Econometrics is in the world top 51 – 100 bracket according to the QS World University Rankings by Subject (2019). UQ’s Business and Economics offerings are ranked #55 in the world by Times Higher Education World University Subject Rankings (2020). The School is ranked #3 in the world for research into efficiency and productivity by RePEc (October, 2019). In the Excellence in Research for Australia 2018 National Report, UQ ranked well above world standard (5) in economic theory and econometrics above world standard (4) in economics and applied economics. UQ Law ranked #43 in the world by the QS World University Rankings by Subject (2019). UQ’s Law offerings are ranked #58 in the world by Times Higher Education World University Subject Rankings (2019).
